The Arts Society nationally provides children and young people with exciting opportunities to get involved in creative arts activities. Their work with young people builds a lasting enthusiasm for the arts and an awareness of arts heritage and its conservation. Young Arts opportunities are organised by individual Societies. Some Societies have on-going Young Arts Groups while others fund one-off Young Arts Projects.  The Arts Society Hungerford has chosen to fund one-off Young Arts projects in the Hungerford area.

In 2019 we donated £50 to The Arts Society Wyvern Area for regional use. More locally, we supported two organisations in delivering specific youth related events:

A donation of £1,000 to Arts for Hungerford supported Classical Young Musicians concerts, providing performing experience for talented young musicians aged 11 to 19; and the Childrens' Festival where 75 children aged 4 to 11 participated in a range of activities including singing, theatre, drumming, storytelling, acting, and mural painting.

A donation of £500 to Hungerford Summer Festival (delivered by HADCAF) funded a photography exhibition by Year 8 and 9 students at John O’Gaunt School as part of the Festival opening event.

Both donations were matched by The Good Exchange.
