Our Society was formally adopted by NADFAS in June 2014.

The Arts Society Hungerford (formerly Hungerford DFAS) is a member society of the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies (NADFAS) and meets monthly (except July and August) on the third Wednesday morning of each month for lectures on fine and decorative arts by accredited Arts Society lecturers.

We  hold Special Interest Days each programme year on a variety of artistic subjects and arrange outings to places of interest. Our aim is to give members the opportunity to make friends with people with similar artistic interests, as well as providing the opportunity for members to enjoy stimulating and interesting lectures, study days and outings which will increase their knowledge and understanding of the decorative and fine arts.

We are beginning to look at encouraging arts initiatives for young people in the Hungerford area and become involved in other activities that the Arts Society promotes such as conservation, heritage projects and Church Recording and Church Trails.  Our first Church Recording Project at St Lawrence Church, Hungerford has now been completed and a copy is held at the church.
